The Republic of Colombia, sometimes known as Colombia, is a South American nation that is home to about 52 million people.
The country is located next to its five neighboring countries: Venezuela, Brazil, Peru, Ecuador, and Panama. It is the only country in South America that has coastlines and islands on the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. Its economy is the third largest in South America and looks strong for the future.

This country makes money by selling oil, coffee, coal, nickel, flowers, and bananas. For years, this country faced a tough time of civil war and fighting between the government and armed groups. The city of Medellin was once known as the “murder capital of the world.” One of the most spectacular places to visit is the walled city of Cartagena.
